Christmas Party Game Ideas

Day 9

Want to have an awesome Christmas Party, but just can’t come up with any good games? Well here are some ideas that I hope you will like.

Holiday Picture Scavenger Hunt

This is a very fun game that we played at youth group one week, only not the holiday version. Just note that you will need clear roads to play because you will be driving.

How to play: This is like a regular Scavenger Hunt, only instead of finding things and bringing them back, you take pictures of them. Make a list of holiday themed things that each group needs to take pictures of such as: A nativity scene, reindeers on a roof, Snoopy in a Santa hat, at the North Pole, with Santa, in a sleigh, having a snowball fight, etc. Give each picture a number of points depending on the difficulty like 50, 100, 200 and so on. Split the guests into teams. Each team will need a car, a camera, a driver, and obviously the list of things to take pictures of. Make clear that everyone on each team must be in every picture, except for the photographer. You could also give bonus point rules, like 10 points for every stranger in a picture. Give everyone a time they must be back by and send them off. They may not take pictures on the property that you are having the party at. When everyone comes back, you can eat goodies and look at the pictures and add up points.

Two Truths and a Lie

like the original game where everyone tells two truths and a lie and everyone guessing which one is a lie, only Christmas themed.

Picture This

Give everyone a paper plate and a pen. Tell them things to draw, such as a Christmas tree, a fireplace, presents under the tree, stockings, etc. Everyone must draw these things with the plate on their head. When they are finished, give them their points, like 3 points for every ornament on the tree, and 5 points for every brick on the fireplace and so on. Whoever has the most points wins.

Movie Bingo

Watch a Christmas movie and give everyone a bingo sheet with things in the movie to mark off.

Candy Race

Give each player a bowl and chopsticks. Fill each bowl with the same amount of small candies like M&M’s or Skittles. Players must only use the chopsticks to eat and may not pick up the bowl. Whoever eats all of their candy first wins. You could also put the first four winners in a semi-finals round and the last two winners in a final round.
