Hello everyone! You may have noticed that our Peanuts comic strip was a little… odd. It was posted by mistake, and we are very sorry you saw that rather than Linus’s original speech. We did not mean to post an anti-Christian comic strip, and fully believe that Jesus is the reason for the season. Blessings! ~Savy and Ally 😉

  1. Dear Savy and Ally, I appreciate and receive your apology, thank you. What an interesting occurrence. I know that Charles Schwartz, creator of “The Peanuts Comic” was a Christian, and that he wrote the original Christmas Cartoon which has become a favorite for many. The climax of the cartoon was when little Linus described the meaning of Christmas by reciting the birth of Jesus from the passage in Luke. Mr. Schwartz died several years ago, while this cartoon remains a favorite for many. It appears to me that this special message was maliciously replaced by a “corrupted” version by “someone” (an interesting mystery). In my view, studying the “revised” version privately, would be a valuable exercise to evaluate stated inaccuracies, think of how people arrive at those conclusions and consider the basis of our own faith. Thanks again!!

    • Hello Mrs. Walthinsen,

Thank you for you comments and thoughts on our blog! It is always nice to get a fresh point of view on a subject. We meant the post to be Linus’s original speech, and really regret that we accidently posted something else. We have removed the revised version on the site and replaced it with the original. I completely agree with you that it would be beneficial to study the new version. (Just maybe not in front of everyone on our blog! Oops! 🙂 ) Again, I appreciate your well thought-out comments on our blog!
